Meet Ana Diallo, Ph.D., a nurse researcher and public health expert whose work focuses on the impact of nutrition on cardiovascular disease risk factors and community-based strategies to reduce nutrition insecurity and its burden on health. An assistant professor in the Department of Family and Community Health Nursing, she is also a Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women's Health Scholar investigating the interaction between lifestyle factors and genetic risk on cardiovascular disease risk factors like dyslipidemia. Before joining VCU in 2018, Diallo held a position as a postdoctoral fellow at the National Institutes of Health.
